“Being on-air is a privilege”, a statement coming from the speaker of Kapisanan ng mga Broadkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP), a broadcast media organization in the Philippines which provides its members broadcasting standards during the KBP Accreditation Examination 2017 held at Tonglen Beach Resort, Boracay Island last September 30, 2017.
A short talk about the KBP Broadcast Code was given to the examinees from Miss Rosa Maria T. Feliciano, KBP Standards Authority Director. Discussed are the KBP’s responsibilities and duties to the accredited broadcasters in the nation.
Miss Virginia T. Velasco, KBP Secretary and Performance Officer from Manila gave a short briefing and was the one who administered the KBP Accreditation Examination 2017.
Various participants not only from Aklan but also from nearby provinces in Panay Island took part in the said event whereas 21 of them came from the AB Mass Communication and The Forum Staffers of the Northwestern Visayan Colleges.
The result of the examination was released last October 30, 2017 whereas the top 3 passers are from NVC, Nino Rogien Teodosio, the topnotcher, Glesi Lyn Sinag got the second spot and the third is Felmerie Sabino.
